LA International steps up to help Alice Charity in Christmas campaign
Every day, we aim to make a positive difference to society as a whole, care for our environment through more sustainable practices, and improve the lives of those in our local community. Although the past 18 months have been extremely difficult for all of us, this made us even more determined to help our local communities, by increasing the scope of our charitable activities.
In addition to our continued support of the Douglas Macmillan Hospice, where we have been a proud sponsor for over 20 years, raising over £100,000, our staff have worked tirelessly to support the Alice Charity, a fantastic North Staffordshire-based charity that provides help to over 1,000 families requiring essential support, including food, clothing, furniture and other household items. We have supported their annual fundraising campaigns since 2015 and, since May 2020, we have delivered monthly food parcels made up of donations from our staff.
This year, we were eager to help with their Christmas Campaign to collect over 7,000 gifts to distribute to disadvantaged children and teenagers. We collected an astonishing number of presents and donations, and were overwhelmed by the incredible generosity of all of our staff. We were delighted to deliver our donations to the Alice Charity earlier in December and in time for Christmas for those that really need them.
Stephanie Bradbury, who organised the campaign on behalf of Alice Charity, commented “Thank you so much for everything that you have done this year. You have been amazing.”
