Our Environment

As a fully accredited member of The Green Accord scheme, LA International drives sustainability, addressing expanding environmental responsibilities. We demonstrate best practice and promote the reduction of environmental impact through the whole supply chain by demanding practical actions and the instigation of alternative working practices. The scheme aims to benefit customers, suppliers and non-customers by minimising the environmental impact of our business activities.

Our Health & Safety

As a professional services organisation LA International, through the nature of its operations possesses a very safe, office based working environment with our Health and Safety management provision tailored specifically to our business operations.

Our policy is aimed at providing and maintaining safe and healthy working conditions, equipment and systems of work, for all employees and ensuring information, training and appropriate levels of supervision are in place issued and adhered to.

LA International engages contractors on behalf of its clients. LA Internationals  contractors will accommodate the Health and Safety stipulations as laid down by the client with whom they are placed.

Our Community

LA International’s staff nominate a local charity to support, which is reviewed annually and since 2004, The LA International Charitable Trust has supported the Douglas MacMillan Hospice located in North Staffordshire. The Douglas MacMillan Hospice provides specialist palliative care for people facing cancer and other life-limiting illnesses; and help and support for their families and carers. Care and assistance is provided free of charge and they rely upon voluntary donations and some statutory funding to meet running and development costs. Fundraising by employees includes:

ad-hoc donations and gifts
sponsored events
internal auctions
lottery

All money raised by employees is doubled by the Company and since July 2004 The LA International Charitable Trust has donated over £100,000 to the Douglas MacMillan Hospice.
