LA International named as UK's Biggest Private IT Recruitment Company
LA International has been ranked as the UK’s largest private IT recruitment company in a prestigious business listing.
The Festival-Park-based company was given the ranking in the Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 table.
It came as LA International – founded over 30 years ago – broke through the £200million turnover milestone and launched an ambitious new strategy to break the £250million barrier in 2016 and create around 30 additional jobs.
The company’s business success is based on providing the right contract and permanent staff to employers around the world from a huge database of IT specialists.
LA International – a government approved defence contractor – is the UK’s leading supplier of security cleared IT staff and provides security-cleared experts to support military and intelligence services.
The LA team has also built an expertise in cybercrime prevention, which along with cloud-based security is one of its main growth areas.
Chairman and CEO Paul Lukic, who formed the company in 1982, said: “We have strong teams in eight specialist divisions which seek opportunities for growth and deliver top quality IT staff to employers around the world.
“We employ 125 staff at our Festival Park headquarters and have over 2,500 contractors working around the world.
“In the next 12 months we will expand the workforce by 25 per cent to meet demand from existing and emerging markets in divisions covering International, National Security & Defence, Public Sector, Engineering, ICT, Permanent, Financial Services and Managed Services.”
Nine out of 10 FTSE 100 companies have appointed LA International to provide top level recruitment solutions.
Earlier this year Her Majesty The Queen honoured the multi-award-winning company with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade during a reception at Buckingham Palace.
Later this year HRH The Duke of Kent will visit the company’s headquarters to present the award.
Mr Lukic added: “We were delighted and proud to receive the award as recognition of LA International’s contribution to British trade and the success we have achieved through targeted expansion.”
