As the UK's most prestigious business award and the highest accolade any business can receive, the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are made each year by the Queen and are awarded on the recommendation and advice of the Prime Minister.

Nationally, fewer than ten recruitment organisations have been awarded the Queen's Award since its inception in 1966, with LA International becoming only the sixth company in Staffordshire to ever win the award. In this 50th Anniversary year of the Queen's Awards, LA International is the only company in Staffordshire to be honoured with the Queen's Award, presented to organisations with outstanding performance in international trade, innovation and sustainable development, recognising those businesses that make a valuable contribution to the UK economy each year.

Commenting following the reception, Founder, Chairman & CEO Paul Lukic said “having received the invitation to Buckingham Palace from Her Majesty, it was a real Honour to meet the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh as well as converse with several members of the Royal Family. LA International has received this internationally recognised and highly sought after award in recognition of its contribution to British enterprise and I am especially thrilled to have received the award in this year when the Queen’s Award themselves celebrate their 50th Anniversary.  I am privileged to have accepted this award on behalf of LA International and all of our staff who with sustained effort have continued to drive the business forward and achieve our targeted expansion”

As a HMG approved consultancy and leading supplier of Security Cleared Contract and Permanent ICT resource to Her Majesty’s Government, The Queen's Award confirms LA International’s position as a market leading global ICT and Engineering recruitment organisation, having been consistently recognised year on year as the benchmark in the  recruitment industry, winning a number of prestigious  accolades at the Recruiter Awards for Excellence, including being named Best Public Sector Recruitment Company, receiving the ‘Winner of Winners’ Gold Award and being voted UK’s Best IT Recruitment Company for the last two years and three times in total.

Having received the accolade from Her Majesty the Queen, celebrations will continue later this year, following a presentation by the Queen's representative to include the Grant of Appointment and engraved crystal bowl that shall be accepted by Chairman & CEO Paul Lukic on behalf of LA International’s proud staff.

In this 50th Anniversary of the Queen's Awards, the Queen wrote the foreword of the official Queen's Awards for Enterprise Magazine, together with statements from the Prime Minister David Cameron, Secretary of State for Business Sajid Javid and the Institute of Directors Chairman, Lady Barbara Judge CBE.

“Having watched the Awards established in my name grow in stature and influence, I continue to be impressed by the way that they have given opportunity to big organisations and small, enabling them to project themselves on the world stage using an internationally recognised symbol of excellence.”
