Role: Data Analytics Engineer
Rate: Inside IR35
Location: Remote with possible travel to Manchester
Duration: 6months +
Skills
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Data professional, designing and building data solutions
Advanced proficiency in typical Data tools such as SSMS, SSIS, Visual studio, TSQL, Fabric/PowerBI and ideally Azure Data Factory, Databricks & Dremio.
Experience & excellent understanding of Data modelling (Facts/Dimensions) and their application.
Experience & excellent understanding of medallion architecture and its application in data processing.
Experience of data engineering and data transformation
Desirable: Understanding of the impact of data residency requirements and regulations, with the ability to implement compliant data solutions.
Desirable: Knowledge of Microsoft 365 apps and associated integrations.
Main acountabilities for the Data Analytics Engineer:
To provide hands-on development of regional and global data solutions. Including engineering & transformation, analytical data models and data presentation layer. Adhering to the agreed design patterns & principals.
To provide third-line support of data solutions for UK&I collaborating with regional and global teams where necessary.
To assist in the design, planning, and development aspects of product & project lifecycle ensuring compliance to the agreed framework, design patterns and standards
To assist in the design of standardised design patterns working with regional and global architects.
To act as a consultant to the business on the agreed data technologies available and advise on the most suitable for performance, robustness and maintainability moving forwards into the future.
Engage with stakeholders to gather data requirements, provide insights, and ensure the data infrastructure supports business needs. Work closely with other teams to ensure seamless data flow and accessibility.
Takes initiative to ensure technical skills and specialisations are kept up to date in line with industry developments.
Act as a test resource where required to ensure products are of a high-quality standard.
Works under own initiative in delivering data solutions.
Creation/Maintenance of Specifications, Operational Procedures, framework, and development standards/methodology.
