Overview
We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure / Virtualisation Engineer to join our team, focusing on the design, implementation, and support of VMware virtualised environments in an enterprise setting. This role is ideal for someone with a strong VMware background, complemented by general Wintel experience and a willingness to support broader infrastructure operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Deploy, manage, and support virtualised environments using VMware vSphere technologies including vSAN, and NSX.
* Implement and maintain VMware ARIA Suite (formerly vRealize)
* Support Wintel infrastructure, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and related services.
* Assist in capacity planning, monitoring, and troubleshooting to optimise system performance.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams to support infrastructure projects and upgrades.
* Maintain technical documentation at low level design and provide knowledge transfer where necessary.
Key Skills & Desirable Experience
* VMware VCP certification (or equivalent hands-on experience).
* Expertise in VMware vSphere, vSAN, and NSX.
* Experience with VMware ARIA Suite for operational visibility and management.
* Strong Wintel infrastructure knowledge, including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.
* Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in enterprise environments.
* Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a technical team.
Additional Skills
* Experience with Dell and HPE infrastructure solutions, including VxRail.
* Some exposure to networking (Cisco or Juniper experience helpful but not essential).
* Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell or PowerCLI) for system management.
* Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) beneficial but not required.
* Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and security best practices
