A long standing client are seeking a skilled and customer-focused 2nd Line Desktop Support Engineer to join their existing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing technical support to end-users, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining the overall health of our IT environment.
We are looking for someone who is readily available and we can offer quick on boarding for the successful candidate.
Responsibilities:
Incident Resolution:
- Respond to and resolve escalated technical issues from 1st line support.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems related to desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Provide timely and effective solutions to end-users via various communication channels.
- Hardware Deployments:
- Assist with hardware deployments, including setting up and configuring desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Ensure proper provisioning and de-provisioning of accounts and devices for new hires and departures.
Operating System Imaging:
- Manage operating system images for deployment across the organization.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and installations as needed.
IT Business-As-Usual (BAU) Support:
- Provide all-round IT support, including troubleshooting network connectivity issues, printer problems, and software installations.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate incident logs, categorizing and prioritizing support requests.
- Assist with technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
