Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer for a contract role with an organization involved in sensitive projects. The ideal candidate must possess Enhanced Security Clearance (SC), demonstrating their eligibility to work on high-security projects, and have strong technical expertise in Azure DevOps processes and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
* Azure DevOps Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and seamless deployment processes.
* Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Create and manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep to automate and streamline deployment processes.
* Cloud Architecture: Design and optimize Azure cloud environments, leveraging best practices in security, scalability, and performance.
* Automation: Identify and implement opportunities for automation to increase the efficiency of the development and operations processes.
* Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring solutions for performance optimization, security, and infrastructure health. Respond to and resolve issues related to infrastructure and applications.
* Collaboration: Work closely with software development, security, and operations teams to ensure continuous delivery of solutions aligned with business objectives.
* Security Compliance: Ensure all cloud resources comply with the organization's security policies, industry regulations, and best practices, particularly aligned with government protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Active Enhanced SC Clearance: The candidate must already possess an Enhanced SC clearance or be eligible and willing to undergo the process.
* Experience in Azure DevOps: Proficiency with Azure DevOps services including build and release pipelines, repositories, and boards.
* Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Tools: Hands-on experience with Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep for Azure cloud environments.
* CI/CD: Strong understanding and experience in setting up, managing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines in Azure.
* Scripting Skills: Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation and scripting tasks.
* Monitoring & Security: Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and security best practices in cloud environments.
* Collaboration Tools: Experience with Git, GitHub, or GitLab for source control and collaboration.
* Cloud Security & Governance: A thorough understanding of cloud security principles, especially in government or regulated industries.
* Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Desirable Skills:
* Containerization and Orchestration: Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration in cloud environments.
* Certifications: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solutions Architect, or similar certifications.
* Experience with Other Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud would be a plus.
Personal Attributes:
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with team members.
* Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
